(Temp) Records Management Specialist, Adecco – NY

Adecco National Recruitment Center is currently recruiting for a Records Management Specialist for a client. This contract has a duration of six months with potential for extension. The position is located in New York, NY.

Overview:
A position in Records Management, New York City, 10005, is now available through Adecco Staffing. This is a W2 contract position and all candidates must be eligible to work for any employer in the U.S. without sponsorship or C2C arrangements. This contract has a duration of six months with potential for extension.
The Records Management Centre of Excellence is a new business function which is being established to ensure legal and regulatory compliant management of information globally. This includes the development of a global records taxonomy that identifies all legal and regulatory records retention requirements across all jurisdictions; a global records management operating model covering governance, people, process, and tooling requirements; and a centralized Global Records Management Office that will drive standardized records management practices across the enterprise.
The Record Hold Coordinator will have a central role in DB’s legal hold process, working under the direction of DB attorneys, e-Discovery and GTO to satisfy the organization’s obligation to preserve information (whether paper or electronic) in connection with any existing, threatened or reasonably foreseeable litigation, or governmental or regulatory investigation, examination or enforcement proceeding.
This is a unique opportunity to help establish a new records management function within a global organization and build the reputation, culture, policies and systems to deliver effective records management.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for overseeing the fulfillment of legal hold obligations to preserve potentially relevant information related to a legal matter
Assists attorneys throughout the legal hold process, scoping of holds, issuance of notices, and oversight of preservation activities
Conducts interviews with employees, with possible knowledge of a matter, to determine if they control potentially relevant information pertaining to a given matter.
Works with Legal to ensure a full inventory of holds are maintained in the Atlas Legal Hold Module
Identifies and maintains an inventory of data sources, including critical applications and information repositories that may contain potentially relevant information.
Assists in providing training content related to legal hold procedures for DB staff
Promotes adoption and consistent usage of processes and technologies deployed to manage the legal hold process
Proposes and implements continuous improvement measures to drive process compliance, while promoting efficiency and productivity across legal hold process participants.
Effectuates a sustainable auditable disposition process for DB.
You will have:
At least 5 years applicable work experience in Records Management, IT or Legal
Certified Records Manager designation a plus
At least 5 years prior experience with project management, preferably in a legal or regulatory setting
Opportunity to build upon records management expertise by gaining insight into where legal obligations intersect with corporate retention policies
Legal, tax audit, or other legal hold experience including data identification, preservation, analysis and collection is a plus
Experience working with information technology applications and systems, including enterprise applications, email systems, and unstructured data sources (e.g., SharePoint and team share drives)
Experience in a direct and matrix management situations with exposure to all levels of managers and staff is a plus
Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong analytic and problem solving skills
Excellent verbal, written and relationship building skills.
