DESCRIPTION:
The Nyack Library is seeking a qualified individual to become part of
our Adult Reference Department. The duties of this professional
librarian position will include:

working at the Adult Reference Desk,
·
responsibility for ordering and maintaining sections of the circulating collection as assigned,
·
working an assigned number of hours in the Local History Room of the Library,
·
teaching basic computer skills and/or software applications.
This is a full-time position with evenings and weekend work required. This position will report to the Head of Reference
REQUIREMENTS: A master’s
degree from an accredited Library Science program is required as well as
a New York State Public Librarian Certificate. Digital literacy is
required with competence in widely used software applications, social
media and open-source
applications. Experience in archival and genealogical work and
digitization of materials is preferred. Good communication skills,
both written and verbal are required.
