AVP, Content Marketing, CIT – NJ

CIT, a financial holding company, is seeking an AVP for Content Marketing. This position is located in Livingston, NJ.
The AVP, Content Marketing will work with the Director of content marketing on planning, coordination and management of development, implementation, successful end-to end execution, and qualitative / quantitative measurement of brand compliant content marketing activities. Activities will help build awareness of CIT and make CIT a resource for customers, prospects and influencers when looking for lending, leasing and advisory services.  

Areas include, but are not limited to:

•               Content production and scheduling, including management of overall content calendar and production schedules,
•               Propose ideas and stories that map to high-level strategic brand themes, and translating them into multiple formats
•               Assist the digital team with SEO and keyword selection and measurement as appropriate,
•               Ensure content works and is promoted across channels including traditional and digital channels, internally and externally.
•               Create a fluid stream of valuable and interesting social media content suitable for each social media channel, and evolve content based on measurement and optimization.
•               Repurpose content into new forms to extend the life and visibility of content
•               Continually test content formats and distribution channels to determine the optimal approach to reaching various segments,
•               Help identify third parties such as analysts, consultants, customers, to license their content and collaborate to produce “third party” white papers and research reports,
•               Assist the digital team with the gathering and interpretation of usage data and post-launch optimization,
•               Liaise with internal and external marketing resources and subject matter experts,
•               Use research tools to conduct audience, industry and competitive content marketing research as appropriate,
•               Apply SEO best practices as part of the content creation and publishing process,
•               Contribute to and support the digital team’s search and social media marketing efforts,
•               Be an evangelist for content marketing within the organization, unearth ideas and mobilize people to produce shareable content,
•               Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and success of content,
•               Budget management.

Minimum Required Skills and Experience:

•               Possess a Bachelor’s degree in related field. MBA a plus.
•               5+ years’ experience with minimum 2 years in business-to-business and/or financial services marketing on either client side or agency side. Commercial finance and/or experience in a large global, sales-driven organization a plus.
•               “Digital Native” with expert understanding of the digital and social media landscape.

•               Ability to define plans and processes that create order and efficiency.
•               Strong project management skills. – the ability to own and drive project schedules from start to finish, including managing/influencing peers and individuals senior to you.
•               Energetic, creative, intuitive, organized, flexible, deadline-oriented, passionate, collaborative and team-oriented member of the organization.
•               Is comfortable interacting and communicating with all levels of the internal team, customers and business unit partners.
•               Highly motivated self-starter. Can multi-task within a variety of business units at any given time. Balance, prioritize and deliver excellent results under tight deadlines.
•               Ability to develop subject-matter expertise across several industries in order to create content that resonates with those audiences.
•               Ability to execute projects within agreed upon timelines and budgets.
•               Strong, cohesive aesthetic vision and a sharp eye for viral, high-quality content.
•               Eye for detail and appreciation of creativity and design, visual storyteller.
•               Stellar integrity and ethics with a strong commitment to compliance and privacy.
•               Excellent oral and written communication, editing and presentation skills.
•               Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
•               Willingness to learn SEO experience, a willingness to learn and work with new technologies and tools, Basic HTML and CMS experience a plus
