Enterprise Arch Librarian, Ascension (Remote)

Enterprise Architecture Librarian, Ascension Health – Virtual


Ascension Health Information Services (AHIS) is currently searching for an Enterprise Architecture Librarian.  The Architecture Librarian role is responsible for providing and maintaining enterprise architecture assets repository and tools for the EA organization. 


Responsibilities:

  • Maintain enterprise architecture asset repository and linkages to other architectural resources
  • Classify documents and other electronic content according to taxonomy and metadata
  • Assist in the development of document or content classification taxonomies to facilitate information capture, search, and retrieval
  • Monitor and update asset status throughout the asset life cycle
  • Monitor and manage periodic document refresh
  • Administer document as well as system access rights and version control to ensure security and integrity of master documents
  • Participate in enterprise architecture work groups and teams


Desired Skills and Experience


Architectural Competencies

  • Understand specific needs of domain architects (business, information, system, and technology)
  • Identify, select, customize, and custom-develop (as necessary) EA tools and integrated processes that support EA architects
Functional/Business Competencies

  • Understanding of document life cycle and document management processes
  • Understanding of enterprise processes, including appropriate integration points with PMO Management, program planning, and PMSDLC activities
  • Knowledge of industry-standard EA tools, including methods for customizing to company-specific processes
Technical Competencies

  • Prior experience with a document management system such as SharePoint
  • Experience in the selection and usage of EA tools across domains
  • Documentation, technical writing, and terminology experience helpful
Common Competencies

  • Manage relationships
  • Good interpersonal skills in order to interview, arbitrate, and consult teams on architectural issues as well as manage vendor relationships
  • Experience collaborating with project teams and work groups
  • Passionate about improving the users’ information experience
  • Good written and verbal communication skills for documenting and evangelizing the architecture
