SEO Analyst, IPG Mediabrands – NY

The search engine optimization (SEO) analyst is responsible for helping Reprise Media clients improve their visibility in organic search results and social media channels. The SEO analyst assists in researching and recommending SEO and social media optimization campaigns for Reprise Media’s enterprise client roster. The job requires an understanding of the evolving best practices for content strategy, blogging, link building, and technical analysis. This role is a good opportunity to collaborate with colleagues who focus on design, development, social media, and search engine marketing (SEM). The position will be responsible for conducting research and testing new tools, techniques, and ranking factors.
Required Skills
  • Compile reports with a solid understanding of Excel spreadsheet formulas
  • Pull data from multiple platforms (Google Analytics, Omniture SiteCatalyst, Webtrends, Webmaster Tools)
  • Develop webpage and social media asset optimizations based on keyword research
  • Execute link building strategy
  • Create sitemaps
  • Work efficiently through task lists and utilize project management tools
  • Support business development and account teams as needed in SEO sales and presentations
  • Present new tools to the internal team
  • Perform other optimization duties as needed
Required Experience
  • 1 – 3 years’ experience in SEO
  • Knowledge of social media and search engine marketing (SEM)
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Understanding of basic web development technologies with the ability to tweak HTML
  • Ability to perform keyword research utilizing a variety of tools
  • Experience developing back links for websites
  • Understanding of core SEO concepts and why certain search results appear for various keywords
  • Experience with at least one of the following is strongly preferred: local SEO, mobile SEO, or social media optimization (SMO)
  • Experience with Fortune 1000 brands and/or within an agency environment
  • Innovative thinker, intuitive learner, with ability to quickly find solutions in fast-moving industry
  • Excellent research and writing skills with an attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and handle other duties as assigned
  • Financial or automotive experience is a plus
  • Spanish or French proficiency is a plus
  • BA/BS or equivalent
