Appointment Information:
This is a TERM position, not to exceed 13 months. This position may be
extended up to a total of 4 years at the discretion of management
without further competition. Telework is available.

KEY REQUIREMENTS
DUTIES:
- Serves on the Bureau for Food Security (BFS) Knowledge Management (KM) team and facilitates knowledge sharing and learning involving technical knowledge related to agriculture and rural development.
- Coordinates with BFS partners and implementers around issues of KM which involves meeting with outside stakeholders, USAID missions, other US Government agencies, and other organizations about their KM needs and activities.
- Provides guidance about good practice on webinars, social media use, and knowledge sharing and learning practices.
- Promotes improved knowledge sharing and learning through the development of information seminars and providing hands-on examples of knowledge management as a tool for supporting agriculture and good security initiatives.
- Prepares analytical documents, including research reports, briefing materials, and other program-related documents.
- Manages, monitors, and evaluates BFS KM activities by analyzing stakeholder evaluations, web statistics on BFS websites, and other forms of feedback.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Specialized experience is experience directly related to the position to be filled. The specialized experience requirements for this position are:
- Skill in using webinars, social media, distance learning, and other technology-assisted tools to design, implement, and conduct knowledge sharing and learning activities.
- Skill in the development of instructional materials and training documents on a variety of agriculture, food security, and rural development topics.
- Skill in using web based project management tools to manage and evaluate knowledge sharing and learning activities.
- Ability to coordinate and collaborate with technical and professional personnel to discuss and resolve knowledge management issues.
