F/T - Records Management Analyst - Cardinal TS (NJ)


Records Management Analyst

Description:
The Records Management Analyst position will review and understand information technology policy, analyze business and user needs, document requirements, and implement records management practices for content of all types. The Records Management Analyst will implement business solutions as required and interact heavily with all levels of the client community including senior management. The jobholder should possess excellent oral and written communication skills. The Records Management Analyst should also possess a good understanding of departmental processes and procedures in a wide area of the businesses and industry segments.

Responsibilities:
·         Perform business analysis with various client business units to develop records management classifications and disposition schedules
·         Identify and make recommendations on how Electronic Content Management (ECM) applications can support and/or be integrated into business processes
·         Design, develop and implement Information governance strategies, including document taxonomies, file plans and metadata schemes
·         Understand and apply enterprise architecture principles and computer security
·         Develop or modify procedures to solve complex problems within information systems, including electronic records management applications
·         Manage and influence individuals that do not report to them directly
·         Lead and/or prepare record management internal training, seminars and presentations

Required:
·         Familiarity with International Records Standards and methodologies such as ISO 15489, ISO 23081-1, ISO 17799, DIRKS, VERS.
·         Experience with ECM/electronic records management system(s)
·         Experience with development of enterprise information governance frameworks, including. metadata, taxonomies (thesauri, controlled vocabularies), disposition schedules, inventories, data maps and other information governance structures
·         Excellent client communication and leadership skills
·         Strong organizational and planning skills
·         Minimum of 5 years experience in records management
Bachelors Degree

Preferred:
·         Previous working experience with OpenText, SharePoint or similar ECM software platform
·         Work closely with the ECM technical staff to ensure that the applications are configured such that it supports the business needs as it relates to records management
·         Certified Records Management (CRM) designation
Experience with taxonomy/metadata management tools, such as A.K.A.
