DAM Project Mgr., Cognizant Tech Solutions – NY
Cognizant is looking to augment its Digital Asset
Management practice with experienced Managers. Typical projects you
would be involved in include Digital-End-To-End, Broadcast Digital Asset
Management and Workflow Automation. Working in small to medium sized
teams, individuals are expected to bring thought leadership and process
to their respective projects. This position is based in New York, NY.
Key responsibilities:
• Provide quality analysis and support for solution selection and systems implementation projects including management of scope, schedule, project financials and change management
• Organize and oversee multiple-person teams, including offshore resources
• Develop and deliver against program plans, milestones, and critical path activities
• Ensure projects are being completed on time and on budget, and the quality of work is consistent with client expectations
• Responsible for ensuring successful internal team and client communications for digital projects and deliverables
• Day-to-day management of inter-disciplinary project teams, third-party technology and media vendors, and client IT partners as appropriate through all phases of the project life cycle
• Deliver compelling presentations & documentation in an organized and thoughtful manner
Desired Skills & Experience
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Minimum 6 years’ experience with systems implementations, detailed system design, functional and technical requirements gathering for digital asset management and digital workflow solutions
Minimum 6 years’ experience implementing technical solutions with a management and technology consulting firm
Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree required
Desired skills:
• Experience with custom and packaged DAM solutions (Open Text Artesia, MediaBeacon, Autonomy Interwoven, Avid/Blue Order, Telescope, etc.)
• Filmed-entertainment, media and/or broadcast experience
• Experience in an onshore/offshore model
• Multi-channel distribution to include broadband, IPTV and wireless
Experience with digital asset management software solutions and digital media
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle
• Exposure to systems development methodology best practices
• Strong analytical skills and effective problem solving
• Strong client presence
• Works well with teams and in a team environment
• PMP/PMI Certification
