Supervisor, Document Delivery Services (DDS)

The MSKCC Library seeks a dynamic, energetic, knowledgeable and self-motivated librarian who will provide leadership to the DDS team and contribute to the overall delivery of excellent services to our user community.  This role reports to Director of Library Services and is responsible for  prioritizing all aspects of Document Delivery Services (DDS); including keeping up-to-date with new applications and processes, spearheading transactional-based content resource sharing between the Four Corners institutions, internal and external interlibrary loan systems and “pay per view” services.  This individual will develop, initiate, anticipate growth, and propose operational changes to ensure the delivery of high quality and professional services.  Supervisor, DDS is a key operational role bridging collection gaps for content not available at the MSKCC Library. 

A Master's Degree in Library Science (MLS/MLIS) is required for this position.
Candidates considered will have 3-5 years work experience in Document Delivery services in a professional or support position.  Five years in a supervisory role is highly preferred .
Experience using scanning equipment and document delivery software tools like: (Ariel, OCLC, custom DDL software programs, ILLiad, DOCLINE, Acrobat, and other software) is required.
Our ideal candidate also has:
-Experience working in a team setting and high pressure environment to meet tight deadlines.
-Experience dealing with customer service and techniques in handling difficult individuals.
-Experience training individuals and/or volunteers preferred.
-Aptitude for understanding database management, querying in MS Access a plus (as it relates to ILLiad reporting and customization)
-Experience with Camtasia or similar software programs a plus.

Work week: 37.5 hrs
Library Hours of Operation: 8:00am to 7:00pm, Monday - Friday
