You love music, technology, operations and the coming together of all three. You have the ability to look at music on the asset level and understand data trends surrounding it. On a day-to-day basis, you aren’t afraid to dig into databases for more information and know how to communicate your findings to a broader team. You execute quickly on projects, are detail oriented, love creating processes and enjoy troubleshooting issues. You understand music as a digital asset and know what it takes to move an asset along a value chain to generate revenue in today’s complicated music landscape. You will work closely with our global sales group, contributor services, content curators and contributor relations teams. Your focus is to ensure that our high quality music offering grows online and offline while also spearheading delivery of our music offerings to existing and new customers. You will also be a conduit between our contributor base and music partners and facilitate our music submission process when necessary. You must understand music licensing as a business and technical formats for digital music assets. Most importantly, you must like working on a diverse team, love to execute according to a plan and learning as you go.
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for maintaining our music assets and ingestion processes so that Getty Images Music platforms continue to offer new content from partners and contributors to our customers. In addition, this position will manage music asset distribution across offline platforms and hardware for our customer base. The operations and data specialist will also manage internal processes so that key metrics are collected and reported for our music businesses.
Your Next Challenge:
- Manage music assets and metadata by using internal tools and databases and work with music partners and contributors on import and export asset metadata via XLS and XML files
- Generate and maintain reports on metrics, track sales and revenue, web traffic, Search data and other ad hoc reports as required by music product and business needs
- Manage offline asset delivery
- Interact and communicate with contributor community regarding music submission policies and work with content submission tools
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years relevant experience in this field
- Bachelors Degree in related field preferred
- Experience with video & audio production and editing tools
- Technical competency System Administrator level skills in both MAC and PC including
- Strong experience using Microsoft Excel and formulas
- Experience with the Pro Tools audio editing suite
- Experience with the Avid or Final Cut Pro video editing systems
- Basic knowledge of SQL coding or database background
- Ability to understand and work with third party reporting tools and data, and metrics (a “numbers person” a plus
- Understanding of common administration practices within the music industry: publishing conventions, performance royalty organizations, royalty conventions, organizational conventions
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to manage multiple work streams and projects
- Data management skills: understanding of file structure and hierarchical data management
- Strong organizational skills – ability to track multiple versions of products across multiple clients
- Basic understanding of audio file formats (WAV, mp3, etc.)
- Comfortable interacting with production clients in video edit settings
