Senior Information Associate – DSSM Information Management, Pfizer – NJ

Pfizer’s Global Chemistry, Manufacturing & Controls (GCMC) is a global organization that provides regulatory clarity for scientists in R&D and PGS. GCMC’s Information Management (IM) team is part of GCMC Document Submissions & Systems Management (DSSM).
The Senior Information Associate position reports to the Global Operations and Support Team Lead in IM. Position will work across GCMC and its partners to provide business process, data and technical expertise to more than 3,000 users of solutions owned or managed by GCMC. Participates in the design, development, maintenance and support of process, data, and systems. The position may also be responsible for development of data and document management procedures and standards, creation of quality control programs and procedures, system validation and other documentation.
 
Responsibilities
Support
•Responds promptly to end-user inquiries. Retrieves necessary information from or about GCMC processes, data or systems to fulfill end-user requests.
•Handles specific questions related to supported processes, data and applications. How do I retrieve information from this app? Answers help calls, provides answers to and delegates to more senior staff where appropriate.
•Works with clients in providing solutions to technical problems; interacts with clients across multiple departments; frequent external contacts
Resources / Technology
•In conjunction with the appropriate departments or project teams – contributes to the design, development and prototyping of new, moderately complex systems or business processes or procedures for information flow according to standard methodologies. Formulates needs assessment reports, requirements analyses and technical/functional specifications for new and enhanced systems.

•Develops and implements qualitative and quantitative measurements of processes, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
•Assists in implementing changes and enhancements to supported systems.
•Participates in the evaluation of new technologies and/or processes.
Training / Presentation
•Participates in the development and administration of training programs and manuals.
•Conducts one-on-one as well as formal training sessions.
•Presents to small groups, peers, including IM staff and client groups

Project Role Expectations
•Participates on projects as a team member. May assist in leading small- to medium- scale projects providing project related direction to non-exempt and exempt level staff. Often contributes to overall project plans

•May assign work, check work, or assist with prioritization of tasks for non-exempt or exempt staff in a specific area of operations under manager guidance.
