Data Librarian, College Board – NY
POSITION SUMMARY
The Data Librarian will organize existing knowledge gleaned from past, present, and future analytic projects into a single (new) repository, while also developing skills in Data Science. The College Board Data Science team follows the Agile Scrum methodology, and is jointly based in New York City and Reston, Virginia.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Help to manage and curate a large & growing educational dataset
- Champion creation of a repository of past analytical projects, both internal and externally created
- Work together with a small Data Science team to execute projects
- Collaborate with internal clients and IT partners to create and maintain a unified repository of past and future analyses
- Develop analytical/data skills as member of Data Science department
- Contribute to the agile practices of the Data Science team (training provided)
- Perform any other duties or tasks as assigned or required.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s in a quantitative discipline, library/information science, or equivalent relevant experience with 2-3 years of related experience.
