Records & Information Management Leader ; GE – CT
General Electric is seeking a Records & Information Management Leader to lead complex records management initiatives within risk management function, including the development of strategy and implementation planning.
- Work with all HQ functions to ensure implementation of RIM Policy & Procedures around creation, declaration, inventory, storage, transfer, retention and disposition of information.
- Establish and manage processes to enable compliant and effective management of records such as employee Records Transfer Tool and Document Retention Notices.
- Drive digitization & process improvement efforts around electronic Document Management.
- Manage RIM related providers to ensure compliant storage retention and disposition of records.
- Deliver targeted training to GE Capital Staff employees on RIM policy, associated policies, RIM procedures and RIM related risks.
- Participate in special programs and facilitate implementation of RIM procedures & systems as necessary.
- Ensure on-going compliance and performance of RIM systems.
- Track compliance and measure impact of training and awareness campaigns.
- Manage synergies across subject matter experts and their related tasks.
- Assess the business unit’s RIM program to determine effectiveness and compliance.
- Report on RIM status at least quarterly and ensure that exceptions or exemptions are documented and escalated and maintain plans regarding resolution.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Minimum 7 years of broad based organizational experience with a strong emphasis in Records & Information Management.
- Previous management experience in a regulated organization with staff and project teams.
- Experience implementing and managing ECM solutions (Livelink, Filenet, Documentum,etc.) and physical RM solutions (Zazio, OmniRim, etc.).
- Experience managing projects.
