Orrick currently has an
excellent opportunity for an Extranet
& Client Collaboration Manager. This position will be located in either our New York, Washington DC or Global
Operations Center in Wheeling, WV.
The
Extranet & Client Collaboration
group is responsible for the design and support of extranets and other
collaborative legal service solutions for our attorneys and clients.
The
Extranet & Client Collaboration Manager is responsible for designing and
implementing the firm’s extranet and client collaboration system strategy;
managing the Extranet and Client Collaboration group; vetting proposals for new
extranet and client collaboration systems; identifying cost-effective staffing
models to support the firm’s extranets and client collaboration systems;
coordinating with the Information Technology Department to assess possible
technical solutions; and drafting proposals and system requirements for
development and/or implementation.
Additionally, the Extranet & Client Collaboration Manager will
develop training and deployment resources; design and deliver marketing and
communications campaigns as needed; and periodically re-assess client
satisfaction and the success of the client collaboration systems. In performing
these tasks, the Extranet & Client Collaboration Manager is expected to
work collaboratively with attorneys and staff and with clients as directed by
attorneys.
Qualifications:
·
Four-year
degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in business or
equivalent work experience.
·
Four
or more years experience supporting the management and sharing of substantive
work product with practice groups and/or clients in a law firm or legal
department environment.
·
Minimum
three years experience in needs analysis and project management with experience
diagramming workflows and modeling data.
·
Deep
understanding of litigation processes and/or with the delivery of transactional
legal services in large law firm or law department environments.
·
Strong
analytical skills combined with experience translating business requirements
into functional specifications for engineering groups.
·
Technical
sophistication and solid understanding of information system environments, with
a broad experience with portal, intranet,
and/or web site design, implementation, and maintenance.
·
Strong understanding of intranet and extranet systems
and designs, including familiarity with both traditional and developing
social-oriented platforms.
·
In
depth understanding of SharePoint 2010 and an extranet and client collaboration
vendors.
·
In
depth understanding of Microsoft Office, specifically MS Word, MS Access and MS
Excel is required.
·
In
depth understanding of the Portal Document Format (PDF) files, including the
searching and optimization of such files.
·
In
depth understanding of digital rights management (DRM) capabilities that can be
implemented with PDF files and/or in an extranet environment.
·
Three
or more years experience with software development processes.
·
Entrepreneurial

multitask assignments, and able to approach problems with a sense of ownership,
enthusiasm, and innovation.
