Adjunct Reference Librarians, Rowan Univ – NJ

Rowan University Libraries in Glassboro is accepting applications for Adjunct Reference librarians. The talent pool will be used to fill adjunct librarian positions throughout the year as vacancies occur.  Successful candidates will provide reference services at the Campbell Library Reference desk during evening and weekend hours.

Reference services include providing excellent customer service and assistance to students and faculty members in finding library materials, using the library’s subscription resources, and citing sources. The librarians in this position will also be expected to help students use the printing system, keep the public printer stocked with paper and toner, log guests onto computers, and help users with library equipment such as microform machines, scanners, copiers, and compact shelving. In addition to assisting in-person patrons, they will answer the reference desk phone and respond to email, text or chat questions.

 

Qualifications:

  
            Required:
            • Masters degree in Library Science
            • One year of reference experience in an academic library
