Technology Librarian, Secaucus Public Library and Business Resource Center – NJ

Secaucus Public Library and Business Resource Center (EOE), minutes from NYC, seeks a creative, enthusiastic and innovative Technology Librarian for a full-time position in a thriving library. The ideal candidate will have excellent rapport with both adults and young adults, a well-rounded, current knowledge of library services and trends, and a keen desire to create new programs and services. DEADLINE: 1/31/2014.


Minimum Requirements:
ALA-accredited MLS or equivalent, a NJ state professional librarian’s certificate or ability to obtain one within 90 days. Applicants must have the ability to develop and lead Internet and computer literacy programs for staff, adults and young adults and a willingness to provide excellent reference service to library patrons. Strong reference, writing and social media skills are also a must; knowledge of web design and desktop publishing would be highly desirable. Competitive salary and benefits package.
