Library Technician II, Rutgers Univ – NJ
Qualifications: Three (3) years experience in library/clerical and non-professional work. College experience may be substituted for work experience on a year for year basis. Must have some experience working with bibliographic utilities, some understanding of the nature of electronic resources,and experience with an integrated library system. Must be proficient in word processing and spreadsheet management. Demonstrated strong communication skills and the ability to work with detailed assignments and projects independently and collaboratively.
Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Bibliographic Record Manager and Electronic Resource Coordinator, this position assists in the maintenance of the integrity of the Library Catalog with regard to accurate government document holdings information such as title changes, print holdings adjustments and other activities. Also, under the supervision of the Electronic Resource Coordinator solves access problems for electronic holdings, responds to queries related to e-resource access and ratifies publishers content lists related to invoicing and e-access.
