Join our Core Business Services (CBS) team and you will help support the important business enablement functions that keep our organization running strong. As a CBS professional, you will work across teams to provide the knowledge, resources and tools that help EY deliver exceptional quality service to our clients, win in the marketplace and support EY’s growth and profitability. Major teams within CBS include Finance, Information Technology, Human Resources, Enterprise Support Services, Brand Marketing and Communications, Business Development, Knowledge and Risk Management.
As part of our global Knowledge group, you’ll make sure our client-serving professionals have access to the right people, tools and information to help clients meet their business needs. Knowledge teams provide a wide range of services to better understand client businesses and business environments. Team members may create and manage organization-wide business tools and processes to share important information, or advise people and teams on how to effectively use the content and tools that exist.

Job Summary:
 
The Knowledge Manager will become an integral of their assigned account and solution teams, working closely with the senior partners and his/her global teams. Through interaction with these leaders, the Knowledge Manager understands the business priorities of both EY and our clients.
 
Based on this understanding, the Knowledge Manager designs, validates and implements an account/solution knowledge plan, leveraging the relevant resources within EYK firm to assist with implementing the knowledge plan. The Knowledge Manager will also lead, or participate in, knowledge projects relevant to a wider community e.g. all of Life Sciences.
 
This is a key role within EY’s global Life Sciences knowledge team and requires with the ability to build and maintain strong, trust-based and credible relationships with senior partners, talk about knowledge topics in a clear, comprehensive and compelling manner using commercially-focused language, and develop and deliver knowledge plans aligned to business objectives.
 
The successful candidate will work within a team of Knowledge Managers as well as members of other competency groups (e.g. research and analysis, content management) within EY Knowledge.
 
This role therefore requires someone with experience of developing and driving implementation of knowledge plans, with an execution-focused mind set who is able to drive and deliver on projects as well as handle executive relationships and work with virtual global teams. The knowledge plans will cover all aspects of Knowledge Management including content management, capture and transfer of experiential knowledge, infrastructure, communities of interest/networks so a suitable candidate should have broad experience across these areas as well as an interest to explore and exploit newer Knowledge Management approaches and tools e.g. use of social tools, and to innovate.
 
It also offers the opportunity for the successful candidate to get involved in shaping and influencing the evolution of the knowledge programmes for key accounts and solutions and the wider Life Sciences knowledge strategy.
 
Education and skills requirements:
 
  • A graduate degree or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 5 years+ business experience including significant experience of working in a knowledge management role
  • Experience working for a life sciences (i.e. biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device) company or within a life sciences-focused professional services organization
  • Strong executive presence – able to interact with senior level executives and build and maintain strong, trust-based and credible relationships
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to get things done in a fast-paced environment with a diverse group of stakeholders and interested parties
  •  Experience of managing projects or teams involving geographically dispersed professionals would be an advantage
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – including ability to display a range of communication approaches for diverse community needs.
  • Confident, credible and enthusiastic team player
  • Ability to adapt to a constantly changing and growing business environment and to work effectively in a global environment
  • Experience of a professional service firm or client serving experience is an advantage
  • Knowledge of the Life Sciences industry an advantage but not critical
  • Understanding of the use of social tools in an enterprise environment required; experience would be an advantage
  • Experience of SharePoint 2013 an advantage but not required
 
Other requirements:
  • May require occasional domestic and international travel
