F/T - Research Associate - DeVries Global (NYC)

DeVries Global, Research Associate Position

DeVries Global is seeking a Research Associate to join its internal Research & Analytics department.  The Research Associate reports to the Senior Director of Research of Analytics and assists team members with design, analysis and reporting of both primary and secondary market research projects for existing clients and new business prospects.
Main Responsibilities Include:
·         Provide daily client team support for research requests
·         Assist with: both primary and secondary large-scale research projects as needed; public Web site and corporate Intranet; internal content management and information sharing across the agency; the creation of visually-interesting reports, analyses and presentations summarizing research findings for teams and clients; social media analysis; and primary survey development, execution and analysis
·         Manage departmental subscriptions/databases
·         Contribute to marketing of department’s capabilities and services
Experience and Skills:
·         Experience working with CPG, food and beverage, or wellness categories
·         Must be motivated, possess initiative and a sense of urgency, and be able to work independently
·         Good interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
·         Strong attention to detail
·         Interest in working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
·         Experience with online databases and syndicated research tools (Nexis, Factiva, Forrester, Nielsen, etc.)
·         Expert in Microsoft Office products, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
·         Strong social media knowledge inclusive of listening tools (Sysomos, Netbase, Nielsen, etc.)
·         The successful candidate must be able to take initiative, prioritize with minimal supervision, and work independently and as part of a team
·         Knowledge of basic qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and statistics a plus
·         Master’s degree in Library Science, Information Studies, Market Research or related field
·         Minimum 2 years of professional experience
