Library Technical Services Specialist, Wiley – NJ
John Wiley & Sons, Inc is seeking a Library Technical Services Specialist, whose responsibility will be to develop and implement Library Technical Support Programs that directly support and engage with librarians who manage the integration of Wiley products and metadata with library systems to ensure that Wiley products are optimized for discovery and usage. The position is located in Hoboken, NJ.

- MLS (Masters in Library Science)
- 3-5 years as a technical services librarian or electronic resources librarian in an academic research library environment and/or similar experience in a previous position with a scholarly content publisher
- Expertise in books cataloguing, MARC and OPAC knowledge AACR2, RDA, MARC formats; descriptive cataloguing practices; authority control, Dewey classification, Library of Congress Subject Headings, and serial control. Federated search tools.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Sound knowledge of MS office applications
- Ability to influence without authority, to solicit support from other sales & marketing colleagues
- Willingness to travel when required
- High level of numeracy, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Experience and desire to interact with patrons and customers
- High level of service orientation
