Librarian, Institute of Design and Construction – Brooklyn, NY
Responsible for daily operation of the Library, including cataloging, serials, binding and electronic licensing
· Develop and oversee materials acquisition budget with input from the faculty and administration
· Implement creative use of technology for technical services operations
· Provide general and virtual information, research and reference materials
· Plan, teach and assess information literacy instruction in collaboration with faculty and administration
· Promote and implement mediated instruction and other related emerging technologies
· Locate and create content to support academic instruction
· Participate in faculty evaluation process
· Instruct students in information literacy in scheduled classroom situations based on course content and in one-on-one sessions
· Help manage the LearningResourceCenter with the Director of Admissions and Director of Communications
· Providing computer literacy and training for students and staff
· Support students in becoming independent learners through learning efficiency and effectiveness
· Promote a Library atmosphere conducive to study, research and reading
Degree Requirements: ALA accredited Master of Library Science, preferably with an interest in architecture; 2 to 3 years of experience; ability to work a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours.
