Media Desk Associate , NBC Universal – NY

NBC is looking for a part time Media Desk Associate to work under the direction of Media Desk Assistant Manager, screen and log media for immediate retrieval by NBC News for daily broadcasts and breaking news.
• Edit real-time logs per NBC News archival standards and archiving them to our digital databases.
• Sub-divide (sub-clipping) materials using departments editing tools;
• Assign clips to catalogs utilizing Avid Interplay and Ardome.
• Research and retrieval of media records for day of, long-term and breaking news projects per producer’s requests.
• Work closely with various departments within MSNBC/NBC Universal (Departments may include: News Desk Operations, Satellite Operations, Field Production and Truck Operations) on material to be fed into NBC Universal.
• Coordinate with Planning Producers the material to be brought into NBC Universal out of Washington, DC
Position is part-time, freelance. $20 hourly
