Role Overview
- Experience within any of these sectors is ideal: asset management, capital markets, corporate and investment banking, sales/trading, and wealth management.
- Recruiters with strong research backgrounds as well as executive search research professionals will be considered.
Requirements/Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Report to the CEO and management team of the firm to lead and continually develop a world-class research function.
- Interact with all staff to create a smooth search process from inception to completion.
- Work with management to ensure that all documentation is fully vetted for presentation and client activities.
- Must be proactive, hands on, organized, detail oriented and have a strong sense of urgency.
- Lead an in-house team as well as outside consultants (on an as-needed basis).
- Lead the research team and allocate resources appropriately.
- Oversee deliverables and timelines.
- Make best use of existing resources, e.g., database, periodicals, etc.
- Expert user of LinkedIn, Bloomberg and Google.
- Manage a library of financial services information.
- Capture all relevant news stories and market documentation relevant to strategic clients and searches.
- Oversee periodical and website subscriptions and renewals as well as continuously review their content.
- Update personnel moves.
- Meet regularly with consultants, recruiters and research staff regarding business development and current searches.
- Ability to effectively navigate and utilize the in-house search management database.
