Position in Electronic Publishing
Digital educational reference publisher seeks smart,
web-savvy individual to work on various online educational products, online
reference resources, online databases, and eBooks in subjects such as history,
geography, literature, science, health, and more.
Include
downloading data, formatting and/or standardizing, inputting; image resizing and basic manipulation,
including batch processing; organizing fielded image data; adding and
standardizing data; updating and indexing content; checking/cleaning up file coding
and conversions; some QC work on online products; occasional copyediting,
writing, and researching.
Strong
liberal arts background, Education, Library Science, English, History, or
Science knowledge a plus. Some HTML, strong attention to detail, ability to
learn quickly, good editorial skills and must be organized and able to work
efficiently. Knowledge of FileMaker,
Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, a CMS, XML a plus. Must work in-house during business
hours.
