Job Description
- Collaborate with Director to audit and perform a gap analysis, organize and create a full content outline for new website
- Perform a deep audit into all existing web and brand content in order to plan for new site
- Create plan and timeline to edit existing content and work with internal creative and external creative agency on plan/timeline to create new content
- Collaborate with information architects, product managers, and engineers to ensure content is properly structured, implemented and managed
- Plan, write some, edit and improve content including product details, transactional emails, navigational labels, account pages, etc.
- Work with marketing to establish editorial tone, style and voice for all content
- Ensure content is optimized for SEO
- Create and manage an inventory of content assets
- Potentially create taxonomies and metadata frameworks for grouping and tagging content
- Develop content indexes and mapping documentation
- Develop and maintain editorial calendars
- Work with other departments to establish procedures for generating content ongoing
- Develop and continuously interpret metrics that assess the efficacy of content
Desired Skills & Experience
- BS/BA required
- 3-5 years of experience working with content for web and/or mobile experiences
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Strong ability to write SEO-optimized content
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate across disciplines
- Compelling, effective and persuasive communication and presentation skills; able to address all levels of the organization
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary
