F/T - Director of Research (CB Resourcing) (NY)

CB Resources is seeking a Director of Research to lead the North American research function for its client, a prestigious professional services firm with a global presence.
The role will involve direct management of a Research Manager and two researchers along with matrix management of a further 20 internal resources. This role reports into the Global Head of Research in London, and works closely with the U.S management team.   There is significant scope in this role to help develop the function further and play a key part in the global research and analysis agenda.
The research team plays an integral role in supporting senior Partners in positioning the firm as an industry expert and thought leader. Our client is looking for someone who can further develop the research function in this respect.
Responsibilities include:
·       Deliver and oversee high quality and highly accurate research and analysis
·       Produce high quality, thought provoking research and analysis of key sectors, issues, trends and events
·       Apply rigorous analytical approaches to produce structured outputs using secondary and primary research
·       Working with both the global head of research and the US management team to further develop processes and raise the quality of the service delivered to internal clients.
·       Mentoring local team and sharing best practice across the firm
·       Project management of ongoing research initiatives
·        Effective vendor negotiations
The successful applicant will have:
·       Highly developed research and analytical skills
·       Strong written and verbal communications skills
·       Ability to structure and present complex quantitative and qualitative information in a compelling and comprehensible manner
·       Strong proven management and people development skills
