The School of Information and Library Science at Pratt
Institute is seeking an instructor for a 3-credit course titled “Digital Asset
Management.” Building on Pratt SILS’s
strengths in cultural informatics, the course should address digital asset
management from the lens of the cultural heritage sector, which includes
libraries, archives and museums. The
faculty member will lead the development of the course as well as teach it
throughout the Spring semester (three-hour class one evening per week for 15
weeks, January through May). The course
will teach the emerging area of digital asset management in both theory and
practice, and make connections to related areas such as Records Management,
Content Management and Knowledge Management.
Requirements:
- Masters degree in relevant area (preferably a MSLIS) or
earned doctorate.
- 2-5 years of work experience in the area of digital asset
management or relevant field.
- Teaching experience is preferred.
Courses are taught in-person at the Pratt Manhattan Campus
