Temp Database Management, Brunswick (NY)

Temporary Database Management Role

The Firm
Brunswick is a leading business communications firm: a global partnership with 22 offices in 13 countries. Founded in 1987, Brunswick has grown organically, operating as a single profit center – allowing us to respond seamlessly to our clients’ needs, wherever they are in the world.

The Opportunity
Brunswick is providing a temporary database management opportunity.  This position is a M-F, 9-5, short-term (approximately four weeks but could be extended depending on need – and might even consider part time hours for the right person) role designed to get us ready to deliver our most important marketing tool, our journal - the Brunswick Review. We are looking for someone with experience in resources such as Hoover’s, Leadership Directories, BoardEx and Bloomberg to update, refresh and cross-reference our existing database of contacts. Excellent work environment with nice people, open office plan and the opportunity to attend meetings and develop relationships. We’re hoping to interview this week and have someone start on Monday, January 12. Hourly rate. Work to be done on-site in midtown Manhattan – not a remote position.

The Brunswick Review

The Brunswick Review is a journal of communications and corporate relations which features insights from global business leaders, policymakers, political figures and journalists, as well as Brunswick consultants. http://www.brunswickgroup.com/publications/

The Responsibilities:
Working with global database manager, work to update our database line-by-line. This means checking for accuracy in terms of spelling, job title, address and researching who is currently in a position if an executive has moved companies, as well as tracking down where they went and what their new contact information is. This also entails working with our terrific admin staff to establish ownership over contacts for each of their charges, and working with the global database administrator to tag contacts with that ownership.

The Ideal Candidate:
Has familiarity with the tools mentioned above; can work the hours needed (though we can be flexible with start and end time to accommodate schedules if necessary) and can start asap; personable and fearless – you’ll need to liaise with folks in London and in our three US offices and it will help if you have the ability to kindly yet firmly nudge people for information!); has great written and verbal communication skills (this is a communications firm, after all); has critical thinking skills and pays great attention to detail.
