College of Mount Saint Vincent in Riverdale, NY is seeking the part-time reference librarian, who will report directly to the Library Director, and will provide comprehensive reference, research, and circulation services in a dynamic, service-oriented environment. PART-TIME REFERENCE LIBRARIAN POSITION

The part-time reference librarian reports directly to the Library Director, and provides comprehensive reference, research, and circulation services in a dynamic, service-oriented environment.
Duties
Reference Duties:
1. Provide reference services to library patrons in person and remotely.
2. Assist with the library’s social media.
3. Other assigned tasks.
Circulation Duties:
1. Provide circulation services to library patrons in person and remotely.
2. Assist patrons with locating library material.
3. Place holds, perform check-in/check-out, sort and re-shelve library materials.
4. Other assigned tasks

The successful candidate will have a strong, user-service orientation, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and an interest in academic librarianship. Bibliographic instruction experience is desirable.
Education: This position requires a graduate degree from an ALA-accredited program.
Qualifications:
1. One or more years of experience working in an academic library.
2. Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to manage time wisely.
3. Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving pertaining to computers (e.g. desktops, laptops. common software) and equipment (e.g. printers, copiers).
4. Familiarity with current and emerging library technology, as well as social media (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).
Qualifications:
