ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (The following statements describe the general nature of work being performed in this job. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by management):
- Improve and maintain the coding of titles for inclusion in CLS selection lists as well as the CDMS system.
- Process new titles for major authors for inclusion in automated shipment programs to public library customers.
- Improve data integrity and subject classifications which will improve search capabilities for internal and external customers.
- Ensure that titles reviewed in major industry publications are coded in a timely manner.

Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong Access database and Excel skills.
- Work requires originality, initiative and ingenuity to solve problems and make decisions within scope of position. Requires flexibility to adapt to changing systems.
- Ability to interpret written and oral instructions. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and employees.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
