Queens College Library/ CUNY , Research Service unit has an immediate opening for a part time reference librarian to conduct virtual reference via Springshare's libchat in the evenings and weekends during the Fall'21 semester. Join a team of QC librarians offering online research assistance and staff operators responding to information requests in a collegial and sharing environment.
Immediate needs are for : Mondays and Tuesdays 5-8pm, Saturdays (and possibly Sundays ) 1-3 pm. Friday openings are also available. 15 to 17-hour a week schedule during fall semester.
Requirements:
MLS degree from an ALA accredited program; reference experience; familiarity with online chat.
Preferred:
Home Internet connection with computer or laptop. Good communication skills.
Salary will be at appropriate PSC-contracted hourly rate for non-teaching adjunct.
