New York Institute of Technology, Wisser Library in Old Westbury, NY is recruiting for a part-time library assistant to work on Sundays from 1pm to 6pm during the fall and spring semesters. Duties include working at the circulation desk to check materials in/out, assisting patrons with information questions and providing technical support for patrons using laptops, copiers, scanners, etc. This position also includes involvement in a project to digitize the campus newspapers going back to the early 1960’s and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree preferred. Excellent computer, communication and written skills a must. Previous experience in a similar library position is a plus.
