The Taxonomist will be responsible for developing and maintaining various taxonomies and other categorization schemes for clients, conducting background research and interviews, and participating in workshops to identify and describe companywide semantic information management requirements.

The Taxonomist will be responsible for developing and maintaining various taxonomies and other categorization schemes for clients, conducting background research and interviews, and participating in workshops to identify and describe companywide semantic information management requirements.
Qualified candidates should have an advanced degree in Library Science, Information Sciences, or Knowledge Management and 2-5 years of experience in information architecture or metadata schema is required. Media and broadcast metadata and file formats and standards (e.g. PBCore, EBU Core, MPEG21) is highly preferred.
