F/T - Conflicts Analyst - Large NYC Law Firm


Conflicts Analyst position available
Our client, a premier NYC law firm has a great opportunity and is looking to hire a Conflicts Analyst
Responsibilities:
·         Must have at least 3 years of recent conflicts experience from a large law firm
·         Works towards ensuring compliance with Firm policies and excellence in Conflicts Department work product
·         Assists in all activities pertaining to the acceptance of new business within the Firm.
·         Responsible for ensuring that a complete, documented conflicts search is performed for proposed new business
·         Performs research as required for thorough conflicts checking
·         Analyzes information including but not limited to corporate affiliations and client matters
·         Prepares reports and summarizes research results
·         Facilitates new business intake work flow and meets deadlines
·         Communicates with Firm lawyers about conflicts checks and assists in conflicts resolution
·         Provides personal assistance to Firm partners, the General Counsel and other Firm personnel as required
·         Fulfills special requests relating to marketing, securities purchases, new hires, etc. as required.
·         Assists in all aspects of the department operations inclusive of administrative tasks to ensure the integrity of the Firm’s conflicts database
·         Manages special projects, performs tasks, responds to requests and provides assistance as required by the Firm

Hours
·         Monday - Wednesday:  10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
·         Thursday - Friday:  2:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
·         (Hours will be 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. for up to 6 months for training purposes.)

·         Qualifications:
·           Legal KEY knowledge preferred.  Ability to effectively interact with attorneys, management, support staff and outside contacts.  High attention to detail.  Organizational skills needed to manage time, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple deadlines.  Flexible for overtime needs upon short notice, participation and cooperation in sharing remote coverage during weekends and holidays for conflicts check requests as needed with other Conflicts Analysts.
