Description
The Columbia Libraries/Information Services seeks an experienced professional to coordinate training, new employee orientation and the internship program for the Libraries and Information Services. The incumbent will:
-Identify the key skills of Libraries and IS positions. Work with managers to identify skill gaps and determine the training and development needs of professional, supervisory, and support staff. Develop an annual training plan that links individual needs with organizational goals.
-Identify vendors, consultants, technology based training, university training and other relevant resources to meet staff training needs. Organize this information and publicize and promote training opportunities throughout the organization. Facilitate staff participation/enrollment, and obtain feedback.
-Oversee recruitment and placement of interns in the Libraries. Coordinate intern activities and conduct ongoing program assessment
-Design and deliver new employee orientation and internal training where appropriate

Salary: $25 per hour

Job Requirements
Experience
Bachelor's Degree and/or the equivalent plus a minimum of 2 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Good organizational and time management skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent judgment
Knowledge of technology based training is desirable
