Our client, a major prestigious foundation located in midtown Manhattan, is seeking a full-time temporary worker beginning soon after selection until the end of August.
Duties and responsibilities:
Under supervision, enter data into the records management system to create, add, modify or update box content information in their CA Records Manager system. Specific duties include:
· Review information on box content sheet and compare with its record in the system
· Using box content sheet, enter missing data and corrected information into the box record in the system
· Identify boxes that should be requested from off-site storage for review if box content sheet is not sufficient for data entry
· If necessary, create, scan, and upload box content sheets/inventories to the system or add contents/folders to box description field in the system
· Re-file box sheets and/or folders into boxes accurately and in a timely manner following data entry
· Maintain status report sheet of boxes completed in the system and submit for quality control review
· Correct errors following quality control check
· Work on other special projects or tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
· Ability to pay significant attention to details when engaged in repetitive data-entry functions
· Accurate data entry skills
· Proficiency in basic Windows applications – MS Word, Excel
· Experience working with a records management database
· Filing and general office experience required
· Records and/or clerical experience or working with archival materials, helpful
· Must be able to lift and shelve 25-30 lb. boxes and heavy files
· Good interpersonal skills and oral and written communications skills
Preferred skills
Experience/knowledge of Filesurf/CA Records Manager
Experience/knowledge of SharePoint
