SYSTEMS LIBRARIAN
Broome Community College has extended its search for a Systems Librarian. This is a 12-month tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Librarian.
Responsibilities: In consultation with library faculty and staff, this position is responsible for the planning, implementation, and management of programs and services supporting the use of computer and related technologies including the library's integrated library system, Ex Libris Aleph, Illiad, computer-equipped classroom, staff desktop computers and peripherals, the library's webpage and electronic reserves. Participates in library planning including development of new services and initiatives, and committee work. The position reports to the Director of the Learning Resources Center.
Qualifications: A master’s degree from ALA-accredited library and information science program required. Demonstrated experience in managing integrated library systems and web services, electronic resources, and web development. Working knowledge of MS Office applications, SQL, PHP, and HTML. Strong analytical, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, and flexibility in the workplace required. Experience working with Ex Libris Aleph, Illiad, post-secondary teaching experience and second graduate degree desired.
Hiring range $43,282 - $54,964. Salary offer will be based on qualifications. Submissions accepted until position filled.
