Weekend/On-Call Information Services Librarian
The Cold Spring Harbor Library seeks applications for a weekend/on-call librarian for our Information Services
department to serve the adult community of Cold Spring Harbor, Lloyd Harbor, Lloyd Neck and Laurel Hollow.
Hours will include two Saturdays per month and occasional weekdays or weeknights on an as needed basis.
The Librarian’s
responsibilities will include:
Excellent customer
service skills and a dedication to helping the public
Assist patrons in
the use of library online resources, databases and print
reference resources
Instruct patrons
in the use of handheld devices such as iPads, Kindles, and
android- based systems in conjunction with
library download services
Experience with
and interest in providing reader’s advisory services
An interest in
emerging technologies and developing trends in libraries
A working
knowledge of Innovative Millennium Sierra software
The Cold Spring Harbor Library is a free association library.
