Bayside Historical Society seeks a part-time archivist to manage its
collection of more than 10,000 items, including photographs, papers,
ephemera, correspondence, oral histories, and objects documenting the
development of Bayside and its adjacent communities
over the past 300 years. This role requires a strong understanding of
archival standards and practices, as well as the ability to utilize
various technologies for digitization and metadata management. The
Archivist will play a crucial role in ensuring that
our collections are well-organized and accessible to researchers,
historians, and the public. Some experience with exhibit curation is
preferred.
