Position Description:
The Lakeview Public
Library, in Lakeview, NY, is seeking an enthusiastic, creative and flexible Librarian who is
dedicated to customer service. The position is approximately 17 hours a
week and requires flexibility and working night and Saturday shifts. We
are looking for someone who is motivated and able to work in all departments of
the library.
Duties:
·
Provide reference and circulation services as assigned and
assist patrons of all ages
on how to use the
library and its resources.
· Plan,
promote, and present diverse and creative programming for adults and children
· Assist in selecting library
materials
· Perform
other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
·
MLS from an institution accredited by the American Library
Association or be a matriculated student
· Must
be Computer proficient and able to learn new technologies
· Experience working in a
library and a knowledge of Sierra is preferred
. Have excellent communication skills
