Cold Spring Harbor Library & Environmental Center, in Cold Spring Harbor, NY, is seeking an Adult Programming Coordinator. The Adult Programming Coordinator is a full-time position responsible for providing a variety of programs that entertain, educate, and enhance the lives of the adults in our community. The Coordinator interacts with patrons, programmers, and library staff, so good communication skills are crucial.
Essential Job Functions:

Identify programs of interest to our community

Provide excellent customer service

Schedule programs and maintain calendar of events

Create posters/flyers/promotional materials for library programs and services

Communicate with patrons via phone, email or video platform

Contract with performers/programmers
-
Monitor program budget
-
Look for outreach opportunities
-
Provide technical support to program providers and patrons
-
Use credit card processing software to collect payments and track registrations
-
Record programs and distribute or post recordings when appropriate
-
Collaborate on cross-department programming opportunities
-
Create and maintain programming partnerships with community organizations
-
Special projects as assigned by the director
-
Maintain email contact list
-
Prepare monthly statistics of program usage

Participate in professional groups and organizations
Qualifications:

Education or relevant experience in the fields of librarianship or marketing

Experience with library programming preferred

Highly organized and detail oriented
-
Strong service-oriented approach

Skilled with Zoom and similar video technologies
