Bilingual Digital Resource Trainer (Position is Part Time through October 2022)

Westchester Library System (WLS) seeks an enthusiastic and creative candidate to fill the role of Bilingual Digital Resource Trainer (“Bilingual Trainer”). The Bilingual trainer will provide individuals with digital training, service assistance and technology training. This position is grant funded for up to 16 hours per week.
Qualifications
The Bilingual Digital Resource Trainer must have the following qualifications:
● Excellent organizational and communication skills
● Proven experience engaging with individuals and groups of all abilities and from a wide range of backgrounds
● Fluent in reading and writing Spanish and English
● Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Zoom
● Must be able to travel throughout Westchester County to member libraries and community locations multiple times a week
● Proven problem-solving capabilities
Responsibilities
The Bilingual Technology Resource Trainer will work with the Director of Special Projects, WLS staff, member library staff and community partners to promote the WLS programs and services, including, but not limited to:
● Develop bilingual print materials and activity templates and curricula for staff to support bilingual programming initiatives
● Work with member libraries and their staff to provide eVan services and programs including family literacy, STEM programs, etc.
● Perform outreach to people with disabilities, housing insecure, the unemployed, individuals with learning disabilities, older adults, LGBTQIA+ people, and/or other underserved populations
● Represent WLS at outreach events
● Be helpful and patiently assist patrons and colleagues
● Limited physical effort is required
● All other related duties as required
Compensation
$25 hour for a maximum of 16 hours per week through October 2022.
