Job Description - Evening Adjunct Reference Librarian
The Morris R. Cohen Library at The City College of New York, CUNY seeks to hire one Reference Librarian for part-time work for the 2026-27 AY.
The schedule for this candidate is Tuesdays & Thursdays 4-7pm, starting Tuesday September 1, 2026.
Applicants must have an ALA-accredited MLIS; an additional graduate degree is required for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor.
Successful candidates will have experience working in an academic library; experience providing in-person and online library reference; the ability to work as part of a team of diverse individuals; and excellent communication skills, including the ability to interact positively with colleagues, students, faculty, staff in the library and at the college. Experience with instructional design platforms and LibGuides preferred.

Salary:
Instructor: $47.42 to $59.00 per hour
