Science Reference & Instruction Librarian, Hunter College-CUNY
We are seeking a librarian adjunct to join our team of science librarians, part-time, in providing excellent information literacy and research skill development for the students at Hunter College.
Reporting to John Pell, associate professor-librarian in the Hunter College science librarian cluster, the science reference & instruction librarian will work independently and as part of a team to develop and deliver instruction and research support.

Responsibilities
Provide course related library instruction and research consultations for chemistry, human biology, physics, and astronomy students
Provide general reference service at reference desks and online chat
Create lesson plans for course-related instruction sessions
Create online content supporting course-related instruction sessions
Contribute to meetings and group work with other science related librarians at Hunter College
Qualifications
Required
Graduate degree in Library and Information Science from ALA-accredited program
Availability to work on Hunter college 68th street and Silberman campuses during daytime hours and occasional Monday and Thursday evenings.
Preferred
Undergraduate specialization in science or graduate study in library resources and services for sciences.
Compensation
