The New Rochelle Public Library is seeking for a Librarian 1 (Adult Services)
Reports to the Adult Services Head.
 
Responsibilities include varied professional work in the Adult Services Department including reference and readers advisory assistance for adult and teen patrons, assists and instructs patrons in the using library services, technology and facilities and selection/withdrawal of library materials. Special focus of the position will relate to assisting in the selection, analysis and instruction/public information regarding the library's varied and multi-platform electronic content.

Qualifications: An ALA Masters of Library Science. Spanish speaking skills are a plus.  Beginning salary is scheduled for $55,878 with possible higher starting salary dependent upon experience along with an attractive benefits package.

Eligibility for a New York Public Librarian's Professional Certificate at the time for the filing application and possession of the certificate at the time of appointment
