There is a part-time librarian position available in the East Meadow Public Library's Reference Department. Seeking enthusiastic self-starter with experience working at a busy reference desk. This part-time position will include nights and weekends as needed. This is non competitive so candidate will not be taken off list.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides reader's advisory and reference assistance.
- Provides technology assistance to patrons as needed.
- Assists with collection development.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- MLS from an accredited program.
- Strong commitment to excellent customer service.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of Sierra, Eventkeeper and Office a plus.
STARTING SALARY
$26-27 per hour. The library is a member of the NYS Retirement System.
