Substitute Librarian, Massapequa Lib (NY)

Substitute Librarian Position 


The Massapequa Public Library is seeking a Substitute Librarian who is friendly and customer service orientated. 

Availability is important. Days, evenings and Saturday hours as needed. 


Skills and abilities should include: 

 Knowledge of Sierra, Microsoft products and digital services on all devices. 

 Excellent knowledge of database research.

 Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

 Other duties as needed. 


Responsibilities include: 

 Providing reference and readers advisory services to library users. 

 Performing on-line database searches. 

 Assisting patrons with computer technology including printers, scanners, downloadable books and media. 


Salary is $29.51 per hour. This is a non-competitive Civil Service position.
