PART TIME POSITION
LIBRARIAN I/LIBRARIAN TRAINEE
The Sachem Public Library in Holbrook, NY is seeking a part time librarian with strong technology skills to work a busy Reference Desk, assisting patrons in the use of traditional and digital resources, including computers, tablets and mobile devices.
The successful candidate must be familiar with eBook/Audiobook lending, streaming music/ movie products such as Hoopla and Freegal, and downloading magazines.
Hours:
Monday and Friday nights, 5-9
1-2 Saturdays per month
Sundays are optional
Requirements:
Librarian I must have an MLS and NYS Public Librarian’s Professional Certificate. Librarian Trainees must be currently enrolled in an ALA-accredited library school, possess at least 12 credits towards their MLS and have completed a basic Reference course.
Salary: $19.00 -- $24.00/hr
