Archivist 2, Thomas Edison State College – NJ

Under the supervision of the Head of New Jersey Collections in the State Library Information Center, of the Thomas Edison State College, the Archivist performs technical tasks of a complex nature related to the selection, arrangement and description of archival materials. The position entails knowledge of archives and records management, digital preservation and relevant standards for archival description; the ability to plan, coordinate and implement complex projects; the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Performs related work as required. Knowledge of DSpace open source platform and experience with a university archive and scripting languages such as Python are preferred.
