UX Designer, Space 150 – NY
Space 150 is seeking a UX Designer. As a User Experience Designer, you guide and partner with clients, selling the work as well as the user-centered methodology along the way. Your interaction design ideas are breakthrough and your wireframes are development-ready blueprints. Your vision and execution of information architecture builds trust with clients by making the complex understandable. This position is located in New York, NY.
Requirements
◦2-4 years experience designing or developing websites, mobile apps, or software
◦Study in a related field such as technical communications, graphic design, human-computer interaction, library science, or industrial design
◦Familiarity with HTML, CSS, javascript, AJAX, CMS, and the capabilities of Web browsers across multiple platforms
◦Experience using Omnigraffle, Word, Illustrator, Photoshop or similar programs
◦Experience observing and translating user research into design decisions
◦Stay current with and find ways to integrate advances of technology
◦Born problem solver with organizational skills and attention to detail
◦Maturity beyond age or years of experience to deal with stress and pressure
◦Good communication and presentation skills
◦Highly responsible, collaborative and self-motivated
Responsibilities
◦Develop and document the strategy and structure of a product
◦Define and describe the information relationships and navigation models at the product, screen, and module levels
◦Develop approaches to the categorization and hierarchical structure of content or content types
◦Advocate for users by bringing your depth of knowledge to all work
◦Distill research findings into concise user-centered design strategies
◦Efficiently create, edit and manage detailed information architecture documents
◦Understand and utilize information architecture best practices
◦Connect business requirements with user-centered designs through concept models, site maps, wireframes and interaction diagrams
◦Develop personas and scenarios that positively influence the design
◦Conduct usability analyses on client web sites and web applications
◦Support usability testing activities: interviews, card-sorting, task analysis, focus groups, prototypes, etc. to inform the interaction design
